Nigeria rejoiced today as 21 Chibok girls were released today by the Boko Haram sect.
Apparently this is the headline trending on all online tabloids and TV news.
The Government claims that no exchange/swap was made and that the Nigerian army and DSS were to be praised for the release.
If this is true, the headline should have been:
21 Chibok girls RESCUED and not RELEASED.
However, the fact that they have been released is good enough.
The girls have been named including the child one of them was carrying.
Tomorrow, 14th of October will be exactly 30 months that the girls have been abducted.
Thank God for the success!
197 more girls to rescue.
My opinion on the rehabilitation of the girls:
The girls should be taken to a neutral ground (preferably outside Nigeria) for rehabilitation.
They should be cared for with their families and allowed to choose whether or not to return to Chibok.
That way, their personalities won't be compromised.
